Method

  1. 2 oz Scotch, ½ oz amaretto, stirred over one big cube. Two ingredients and no citrus at all.
  2. The usual recipe says equal parts, which makes a dessert. Three or four to one is a drink.
  3. Stir it long — there is nothing else in here to soften the spirit but water.
  4. Orange peel, and it is better after ten minutes in the glass than it is at the first sip.
