Method

  1. 2 oz aged rum, ¾ oz lemon, ¾ oz Cointreau. Shake hard, strain up.
  2. The daisy template is spirit, citrus and orange liqueur — a margarita is the tequila one, a Sidecar the brandy one, and this is the rum one.
  3. Cointreau is both the sweetener and the orange, so do not add syrup as well.
  4. Taste and adjust the lemon, never the rum. Fruit varies; the bottle does not.
