Method

  1. Amaro, fresh orange and soda over hard ice — low in alcohol and exactly what to drink before dinner.
  2. Bitter and sweet in the same glass, which is why it stimulates an appetite where a sweet drink dulls one.
  3. Build in the glass and stir once. Shaking flattens the soda and clouds the orange.
  4. A wide orange peel expressed over the top and dropped in.
