Hot coffee, cold cream. That's the whole trick.

easyWhy tonight. Hot coffee, cold cream. That's the whole trick.
What it needs
Nothing confirmed on your shelf yet — this list is the whole ask.
- ice cream
- coffee
Good if you have them, fine if you do not: chocolate.
Method
- The ice cream must be properly frozen hard and the coffee properly hot. Both halves lukewarm is the only failure mode.
- Pull the shot at the table and pour it over in front of whoever is eating it.
- One scoop, not three. It is a coffee with ice cream in it rather than a sundae with coffee on it.
- Grated chocolate or a pinch of salt on top, and eat it immediately.

Cook or pour it, then edit the shelf if you emptied a bottle or used the last of something.
Why each of these is on the list
What the ingredients are actually doing
- ice cream
- Fat, sugar and air, and the air is the part that disappears first.
- coffee
- Bitterness and roast, which is why it turns up in savory rubs as often as in dessert.
Missing one of them? The substitutions are written against those jobs rather than against a chart, so they say what each replacement costs this dish in particular.

Cook it, then tell the shelf what you used.
The ranking is only as honest as the shelf behind it. Empty the cream, and everything that leaned on cream should stop being offered.
