Method

  1. Olive brine, soda and lemon over ice — the dirty martini reduced to its savory idea.
  2. Start with a bar spoon of brine and build up. It is aggressive and it is easier to add than remove.
  3. Lemon rather than lime, which sits better against the brine.
  4. Olives in the glass. It is a salty, savory drink for somebody who does not want anything sweet, and there is almost nothing else in that category.
