Method

  1. 2 oz bourbon, ¾ oz lemon, ¾ oz honey syrup. Shake, strain over a big cube.
  2. Honey has to be let down with warm water — equal parts — or it sits in a lump at the bottom of the tin.
  3. It is a whiskey sour with honey instead of sugar, and honey is thicker, so it drinks richer at the same numbers.
  4. Three ingredients, thirty seconds, and it converts people who say they do not like bourbon.
