Method

  1. Slap the basil rather than muddling it. Muddled basil goes black and bitter within a minute.
  2. Lillet over ice, lemon, soda, and the basil dropped in whole.
  3. Low in alcohol and floral, which makes it an afternoon drink rather than an evening one.
  4. Keep the Lillet in the fridge and finish the bottle inside a month. It is a wine and it oxidizes like one.
