Method

  1. Crush the cardamom pods and steep the seeds in warm honey syrup for ten minutes, then strain.
  2. Longer than ten minutes and cardamom turns soapy, which is the failure mode of every cardamom drink.
  3. Fresh orange, then soda over ice.
  4. An expressed orange peel over the top, since most of the aroma lives in the oil rather than the juice.
