Method

  1. Grate the cucumber and strain the juice — muddled cucumber goes bitter and cloudy within minutes.
  2. Honey let down with warm water first, then lime, then the cucumber juice.
  3. Soda over plenty of ice, and drink it soon. Cucumber juice fades fast and tastes of nothing by the next hour.
  4. A pinch of salt, which is what makes cucumber taste like cucumber rather than like water.
