Method

  1. Freeze the banana in chunks. Ice plus room-temperature banana gives you a watery drink; frozen banana gives you texture.
  2. Peanut butter, milk and banana blended together, and a pinch of salt.
  3. The salt is not optional. Peanut butter in a sweet drink tastes flat and slightly stale without it.
  4. Blend longer than feels necessary — a full minute — so the peanut butter actually emulsifies instead of streaking.
